The latest Nintendo Direct didn’t disappoint, giving fans their first look at Super Mario Bros. Wonder--a new 2D adventure with gorgeous graphics, new abilities, and plenty of platforming fun. The title is slated to launch as a Switch exclusive on October 20, and preorders for the game are open now.
Despite being a traditional side-scrolling Mario game, there were a few cool aspects that stood out from the reveal trailer. For one, the graphics look stunning, as they appear to be styled after the New Super Mario Bros. series but still offer tons of cool new animations and visual effects to bring Mushroom Kingdom to life in a brand-new way.
Mario even picked up a nifty new power-up that turned him into an elephant, giving him a chance to stomp over enemies without breaking a sweat. Additionally, the new Wonder Flower alters the world around Mario and friends. Super Mario Bros. Wonder also benefits from cooperative play and a large roster of playable characters (including Peach, Daisy, Luigi, Mario, Toad, and Yoshi).
Here’s a look at where to preorder Super Mario Bros. Wonder. We'll update this preorder guide as more retailers list Mario's latest adventure.
Super Mario Bros. Wonder Preorder Bonuses
Nintendo is yet to announce any preorder bonuses for Super Mario Bros. Wonder. That could change in the coming weeks and months, however, and it wouldn’t be shocking to see a few retailer-exclusive offers thrown into the mix--that often happens with Switch exclusives. Be sure to check back for updates.
