From Minecraft maps to hand-drawn tattoos, fans are always crafting labors of love for their favorite games. However, one Metal Gear Solid aficionado managed to put together a meme-themed music video for the original game that's not only incredibly detailed, but uses the game's original assets to full effect.

That fan is Mau Delgaudio, an Argentinan VFX artist and game developer. While the music video is ostensibly a reference to the "Dr. Livesey Walk" meme that emerged this summer, it's a lot more detailed than it has any right to be. For one thing, the video shows every major event of Metal Gear Solid 1, from Solid Snake's wet arrival to Shadow Moses to the final jeep chase, including the game's many iconic moments on the way. Delgaudio also composed the remixed MGS theme that plays for the video's entirety.

These include the boss fight with Revolver Ocelot, Snake looking at the back of the MGS1 game box to discover Meryl's Codec frequency, the memorable tank and helicopter fights, the famous fourth-wall break during the Psycho Mantis fight, and at least two references to JoJo's Bizarre Adventure. Overall, it's a very enjoyable piece of work, and one of the more impressive pieces of fanart we've seen in recent months. If you're an MGS fan, check it out.

In other Kojima news, the MGS creator recently teased a new project with a bizarre image. While we don't know much about it, if it's anything like his recent work, it'll be strange and memorable in its own way.
