Activision has announced the first details on the Call of Duty: Endowment Bowl V, which is the fifth iteration of the competitive tournament set to take place on August 28. The Call of Duty event is for members of the military, but everyone can earn free rewards for tuning in.
Presented in partnership with USAA, the CODE Bowl features teams made up of soldiers from the real-world militaries of the US, UK, and Canada duking it out for glory in Warzone (Canada won 2023's event). The matches will stream live on Call of Duty's Twitch and YouTube pages.
Everyone who watches can earn special content for Modern Warfare III and Warzone that they can redeem right away. Those who link their Activision ID with YouTube/Twitch will earn drops in Modern Warfare III for every 30 minutes they watch. The items up for grabs include:
- "Every Bit of Bravery" animated emblem
- "Far Out Flexin'" loading screen
- "Please Rewind" weapon charm
- "Bowl Buzzkill" weapon camo
In celebration of the event, there will be a CODE Bowl flyover in the Warzone maps Urzikstan, Vondel, and Rebirth Island, alerting players to the upcoming event.
August 28 is also the day of Call of Duty Next, the big Call of Duty event during which Activision will announce more details on Black Ops 6's multiplayer. The Black Ops 6 multiplayer beta, meanwhile, begins on August 30.
