It was revealed a few years ago that Remedy's New Weird award-winner, 2019's Control, is getting a multiplayer spin-off (codenamed Condor) in addition to a true sequel. Today, during the Xbox Partner Preview, Remedy offered a debut look at this project, its first in the multiplayer space. FBC: Firebreak is a three-player first-person shooter that pits Federal Bureau of Control (FBC) agents against the Remedy Connected Universe's creepy enemies infected by the Hiss.
You can check out a reveal trailer below for FBC: Firebreak. You'll notice it doesn't seem as though players will reprise the role of Jesse Faden. Instead, they'll answer the call of paranatural duty as new faces in the FBC.
This wasn't the only Remedy news of the day, as the team also shared a new trailer for The Lake House, Alan Wake 2's second (and presumed final) expansion, which launches next week on October 22.
We have quite a few folks on the GameSpot team neck-deep in Remedy Connected Universe lore, so if you count yourself among such obsessives, be sure to also check out our outlook for future Remedy games we currently know about, our meta analysis of Alan Wake 2's narrative, and our ending explanation for those who hit the credits for Remedy's excellent 2023 game and were left wondering what the heck just happened.
