"We originally planned to introduce cross-platform mod support for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S later this year, but the rollout is now shifting to 2026. We apologize for the delay and will share more details as we get closer to the release. Thank you for your patience!"
The Witcher 3 mods have been around on PC for almost as long as the game itself. There will be some limitations about which mods console gamers will be allowed to use, for technical and content reasons. But the vast majority of mods should be available for free, once players get a mod.io account in conjunction with the update.
A concert featuring the music of The Witcher 3 began a US tour earlier this summer, and it will continue through October. CD Projekt Red is currently developing The Witcher 4, which doesn't have a release date yet.
