At the end of this week, players will finally get a chance to explore Sucker Punch's much-anticipated follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei. But judging from the massive size of Ghost of Yotei's day-one patch, you may want to make sure you're up to date before searching the areas around Mount Yotei.

Sony has confirmed that the Version 1.006 patch will give Ghost of Yotei several important fixes, including ray tracing and performance improvements, as well as animation, gameplay, and environmental adjustments. There are a lot of bugs mentioned in the patch notes, and the update also addresses crash fixes and new photo mode additions.

This patch is primarily for players who purchased Ghost of Yotei on disc. Players who have the digital version pre-installed will already have the 1.006 patch when the game's launch time arrives.

At the end of this week, players will finally get a chance to explore Sucker Punch's much-anticipated follow-up to Ghost of Tsushima, Ghost of Yotei. But judging from the massive size of Ghost of Yotei's day-one patch, you may want to make sure you're up to date before searching the areas around Mount Yotei.

Sony has confirmed that the Version 1.006 patch will give Ghost of Yotei several important fixes, including ray tracing and performance improvements, as well as animation, gameplay, and environmental adjustments. There are a lot of bugs mentioned in the patch notes, and the update also addresses crash fixes and new photo mode additions.

This patch is primarily for players who purchased Ghost of Yotei on disc. Players who have the digital version pre-installed will already have the 1.006 patch when the game's launch time arrives.

Sucker Punch co-creative director Nate Fox recently noted how pleased he was that Grand Theft Auto 6 was delayed, which spared Ghost of Yotei from having to compete directly against it.

Sony has revealed that Ghost of Yotei will go live on PS5 at 9 PM PT October 1/12 AM ET October 2. GameSpot has already posted a Ghost of Yotei review, which called it "a gripping tale of revenge." There will also be a free update for Ghost of Yotei that adds a Legends multiplayer mode, but it isn't scheduled to arrive until 2026.
