2014's award-winning farming sim Stardew Valley has been immortalized in Lego form via a massive recreation of the game's Pelican Town map by Stardew fan and Lego connoisseur Steve Jensen. This week, Jensen unveiled his enormous creation at BrickCon, a Washington-based Lego convention.

Jensen's detailed recreation includes the town's local Jojo Mart, Lego versions of the game's NPCs (and their respective houses), the overgrown Community Center that players are introduced to when first starting the game, and even the game's iconic logo.

Jensen's painstakingly detailed recreation of the game won the People's Choice Award at BrickCon, which Jensen said came as a major surprise, but there was an even bigger surprise waiting for him at the convention: A visit from Stardew Valley creator, art director, composer, and developer Eric "ConcernedApe" Barone. Barone, who also resides in Washington, approached Jensen at the convention to offer his congratulations, along with a photo op.

"Guess who stopped by Saturday afternoon (before any awards had happened)?" Jensen said in an Instagram post. "It's ok if you don't recognize him... I didn't either. And yes, I did a brief fan-boy moment when ConcernedApe introduced himself!!! Naturally, I brought him 'backstage' for a closer look (...and this pic)!!"

Jensen co-owns Bricks & Minifigs Monroe, a Lego and figurine store based in Monroe, Washington. His colleagues also celebrated his win on Instagram, and hinted that his creation might be displayed in the store soon.

A decade after its initial release, Stardew Valley has seen a resurgence in popularity due to this year's 1.6 update, which added a massive number of new features to the game. Check out our Stardew Valley guide hub for tips on how to make the most out of your crops and win the hearts of the game's various romanceable NPCs.
