Midnight, the next expansion of World of Warcraft, has been teased for months. On November 11, some WoW players will be able to dive into the Midnight beta test. Blizzard has now shared the first details about what to expect during the beta.

Invitations for the test will be extended to veteran players, members of the press, and other select individuals. Blizzard notes that, "invitations will go out regularly throughout the test." Fans who pre-purchased the Epic Edition may also get an invitation by email. Players can verify the legitimacy of their invites by logging in through their Battle.net accounts.

Phase 1 of the beta will include the opportunity to play through Midnight's first four zones, possibly as a Void Elf Demon Hunter, if you choose that option. Players who purchased the Epic Edition or preordered the game will get early access on December 2 to both the expansion and the long-awaited player housing. For anyone who wants to get ahead of that, there's an add-on that lets players see what achievements they need to get in order to earn interior decorations and furniture.

Players will also be able to make their own Haranir. During a later stage of the beta, Blizzard will introduce new raids, mythic+ dungeons, high-level devlves, UI updates, and transmog.

A recent datamine suggested that Midnight will officially launch on January 27, 2026. That date hasn't been confirmed by Blizzard yet. A cinematic teaser for Midnight featured the Void Storm's arrival in the realm. The complete rundown of what's coming in the Midnight beta is included below.
