ASCHE AC KC, THE HONOURABLE KEITH JOHN AUSTIN
The President, Executive and members of the Northern Territory Bar Association express their sincere condolences to Harry and Wendy and family on the passing of their father, grandfather and great grandfather. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time.
His Honour will be lovingly remembered for his extraordinary contribution to the law and public life as our former Administrator, Justice and later Chief Justice of our Supreme Court, Judge and later Acting Chief Justice of the Family Court of Australia, Chancellor of the Northern Territory University and Chairman of the Parole Board to name only some of his distinguished appointments.
His Honour was widely admired for his intellect and courtesy, turning his hand to Greek and Latin, history and tennis. He was unfailingly polite to all who appeared before him. He will be much missed by members of the legal community.
