The AFL NT Board of Directors and staff extend their deepest condolences to the family and friends of Tony Shaw on their loss.
Tony was a pioneering figure in Territory football, arriving in Darwin in 1969 and leaving an indelible mark as a coach, administrator and mentor. He coached multiple NTFL clubs and the first NT Teal Cup team, and led the NT to a historic 1988 Bicentennial Carnival win. As NTFL President (1987–1997), he oversaw major developments including the move to Marrara. Tony’s service was recognised with numerous awards, including AFLNT Hall of Fame induction.
Rest in Peace Tony, you will be missed.
