Barbara was born in Concord California, 1 January 1935. She was the beloved wife of 64 years to Peter Thomas. She is survived by her husband, brother Ted Grandlund, and her three children, Clayton Thomas, Bronwyn Langlands and Jennifer Cavarno. She was the adored grandmother and great-grandmother of Megan, Emily, James, Christian, Jacki, Tristan, Andrew, Lillian, Lacey and Millie.
