DUBINSKI, Nina
Baba
Celebrating a life that would have been one hundred years old today.
You survived the Russian purge as a child; you outlasted Nazi occupation as a slave.
Your ferocity and resilience kept you alive during these horrendous times, allowing you to share your experiences of what it was like to be a Ukrainian. Your words spoke of the recognition and identity of a people rich in culture, art and language, of which I have only just recently began to fully appreciate.
Your surviving family Lydia (daughter) and grandchildren Leanne, Peter and Johnny are eternally grateful for your sacrifice, and your decision to emigrate to Australia post WW2.
Baba, your memory will never fade, but only grow as the years pass. You are with us in our hearts now, and forever.
