CONOLE (NEE PIPER), Muriel Jeanne
much loved wife of Edward (Ted) Conole; mother of Lawrie, Elisabeth, Michael and Jennifer; grandmother of Marta, Blossom, Roman, Yarramun and Waadhi; passed away peacefully on Thursday 13th October 2022, aged 85, in Geelong.
Muriel was born to Gertrude (née Wiffen) and George Piper in Geelong in 1937, grew up on the family farm in Moolap, before moving with the family to Newtown (in Geelong). She met Ted at a Geelong Palais Saturday night dance, and they were married in 1959.
Muriel and Ted raised their family of four children in Geelong West, and she was a mother figure to many others who came into her long and loving life. Her kitchen table at Clarence Street was the welcoming setting for so many gatherings with love and laughter over the years.
