WHITELEY, Ian lindsay
The youngest son of Molly Smith and Alexander Whiteley, Ian grew up with brothers Keith and Graham.
Ian was a motorcycle enthusiast who had a great sense of humor and ability to spark up a chat with anyone. He was man who loved family and was loyal to his mates. Although he had many work titles over his life, most notably was his work in the mines and as a meat carter.
At 17, he faked his age to join the army and served as one the youngest soldiers in the Vietnam War.
Married to Elaine Savage, they shared stepchildren Micheal, Steven and Alex. Together they had Alana, Cindy and Cheryl. He also had a daughter Hayle to Maureen Gardiner. In total he was blessed with 14 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The celebration of Ians life will take place at Inglburn RSL on the 7th of October.
To kick start the festivities there will be a group bike run that will kick off at the RSL door entrance from 10:30am, all you need is a motorbike to join the run.
At 12pm Ians plaque will be revealed at the memorial garden in the RSL.
To end the celebration we will host a gathering from 1pm till late at the Salute restaurant in the RSL.
