Joan Gwynth Barnes Born Warracknabeal on 28th May 1928 passed away peacefully on 20 August 2022. A wonderful and loved friend and wife to Tony Barnes for over 80 years celebrating 71 beautiful years of marriage in 2021. Joan just loved people, she was an amazing daughter, granddaughter, sister to John Harrison, sister in law to Sue, wife, mother and mother in law to Leanne/Dennis and John/Marian, grandmother to Amy, Tom and Joe, aunt, great aunt. The list goes on. She was a friend to many across generations, a skilled medical administrator, crafts person, a volunteer in community, and always there for anyone with nothing being too much trouble. She will be missed and leaves an amazing legacy in the people she loved and supported. The family request no flowers but donations to Vasey RSLCare Brighton East where the amazing staff supported Joan and Tony and all of the family so compassionately, and with such special respectful and care.
