CULLEN OAM, John Francis – passed away 10 December 2024

It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the passing of John, the Chair of RSL Victoria House Trustees, an esteemed former member of the State Executive (1994-2020) and State Honorary Treasurer (2002-2020). John joined the RSL in 1970 and was a former President, Treasurer and Secretary of the Boronia Sub-Branch. John served in Vietnam with 5RAR and on his return became a dedicated volunteer for the RSL.

John was a former Director of both Vasey RSL Care and the Sir Edward Dunlop Medical Research Foundation. For his long and distinguished service to the RSL in Victoria, John was awarded Life Membership in 2000, recognised in the Order of Australia in 2006, inducted into the RSL’s Hall of Fame in 2007 and awarded the Meritorious Service Medal in 2008.

The State Executive, his friends at ANZAC House and members of RSL Victoria extend their sincerest condolences to John’s family on the loss of a great RSL man.
