MCCARTHY, Brian
Brain (Mac) McCarthy, 1927-2022, passed away peacefully. Mac was married to Beryl and recently celebrated their 64th wedding anniversary together. Beryl and Mac have 2 children, Michael and Susan. Mac also has 3 granddaughters, and Emily, his eldest granddaughter, recently gave birth to Macs first great-grandson Oliver.
Throughout his life Mac accomplished so much, he very quickly became a leading name at Repco industries for his engineering on the Repco Brabham BT19.
Mac was an active member of the Scouts for a long part of his life, he received the Sliver Kangaroo award and was made an honorary Commissioner.
In his retirement, Mac spent a lot of his time tinkering in his shed.
Mac handled all aspects of his life with his wicked sense of humour and he kept his humour right until he passed away.
Husband, Father, Grandpa, and Great-Grandpa, he will be sorely missed, but never forgotten.
Mac will be privately cremated.
