KENDALL, Geoff
We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Geoff Kendall on August 29, 2024, at the age of 83. A distinguished Australian Army Veteran, Geoff was awarded the Medal of Gallantry for his exceptional leadership during the Battle of Long Tan in the Vietnam War. His bravery and dedication to his country will forever be remembered.
Beyond his military achievements, Geoff was a man who loved life and seized every opportunity for adventure. A passionate golfer, avid bridge player, keen fisherman, and enthusiastic sailor, he enjoyed many of life's pleasures and always made time for his family, friends, and dogs. While he never realised his dream of owning the winner of the Golden Slipper, he always kept a hopeful eye on the field!
Geoff was a devoted husband to Bev, a loving father to three, and a proud grandfather to five. He is fondly remembered by all who knew him as a true gentleman and the best mate anyone could ask for. His adventurous spirit, warm heart, and unwavering friendship left a lasting impact on everyone he met.
Geoff will be greatly missed by his family and his many friends. He will be remembered as a man who lived life’s adventures to the fullest, with a smile and a spirit that inspired those around him. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, 13th September — contact the family for details.
