Charles passed away, aged 90, on 15 June 2024 in Bunbury WA. Beloved husband of Janet Atherton (Dec), father of Karen, Grand father to Stephanie and Adam, Great Grand father to Blake and Dylan.

Charles was born in Atherton, Queensland. While serving in the RAAF he was posted to Darwin in 1965, where he lived for 56 years. Charles was actively involved in many not for profit organisations for most of his life in Darwin, including the Civil Defence, Royal Darwin Show Society, Canine Association and others. He was always ready to lend an helping hand.

After Janet passed away in 2020, he moved to Bunbury WA, to be closer to daughter Karen.

A loving and devoted husband and father, and a wonderful man who is deeply missed.

A private ceremony to celebrate Charles’ life will be held in the near future.
