It is with profound sadness we announce the passing of Zissis (Joe) Arapoglou, late of Bateau Bay, who passed on 14th March 2025 at the age of 78. Joe, born in Kitros Pieria, served in the Greek Army before arriving in Australia in 1968. Joe was known for his love and devotion to his close family and friends. Joe was a published poet, a dedicated volunteer, and enjoyed playing cards and reading philosophy. He brought joy to many and will be sorely missed by all of his loved ones.

He is survived by his 3 daughters Europa, Malama and Margaret and his 6 grandchildren Roman, Bracston, Ethan, Florence, Cayden and Josephine. Preceded in death by his parents Stergios Arapoglou and Malama Arapoglou nee Karagiorgis; his brother, Panagiotis Arapoglou; and niece, Ourania Arapoglou.

A Memorial Service will be held to celebrate Joe's life and legacy on Friday 4th April 2025 at 10:30am in Templeman Lounge of Nareen Gardens, 5 Yakalla St, Bateau Bay, NSW.
