ARGENT, Helen Frances
ARGENT, Helen Frances
'Betty'
“Betty” Helen F. Argent, OAM, a quietly extraordinary woman, slipped peacefully from this world on 14th October, 2025 after 101 years of love, service to humanity, and spiritual seeking and dedication. Her generous, twinkling smiles warmed hearts everywhere she went.
Betty was born on 18th April, 1924 near the harbor in Sydney, NSW and passed away in Aldgate in the Adelaide Hills. She was the loving wife of the late Jack Argent, with whom she shared an enthusiastic commitment to community service, and also for collecting and restoring antiques as a hobby, which Betty later expanded into a thriving antiques business.
Betty is lovingly remembered by her children John, Hema and Phillip, her grand children, great grandchildren, and extended family.
She is remembered with deep affection by her friends near and far, including those in India, and those in the aboriginal communities of Point Pearce and the Port Augusta area, who call her “Aunty Betty.”
Rest in eternal light among the angels.
